Improving New York City’s Minority and Women Owned Business Program

Read our latest press release on the work that we completed for the city of New York that examined the capacity of M/WBE firms. Capacity is the amount of work a firm can perform in a specific period of time. The results of the work have led to discussions with NYC public officials on ways to improve Minority and Women Owned Business Programs. The report is groundbreaking. It is also an indication of how the data from the GazelleIndex is shifting the dialogue around minority businesses in the U.S.  The work was commissioned by Building Trades Employers Association(BTEA); the largest contractor association in New York City. It represents about 1,800 construction managers, general contractor and specialty subcontractor firms. In 2015 alone BTEA contractors accounted for construction revenue of $35Billion in public and private construction project in New York City alone.
